Farm
Our home is at Greenock, the idyllic township perched on the Western Ridge of the famous Barossa Valley. Our vineyard is organic and biodynamic certified and the two principal grape varieties planted are Shiraz and Grenache.
Our passion for organics and biodynamics is driven by our respect for this country and an understanding that we need to employ truly regenerative practices to heal and nurture the land. The vineyard sits on the traditional lands of the Ngadjuri people and we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
Ever since we introduced biodynamic management practices to the farm we have seen the return of the elusive native Australian blue-banded bee, which features on our labels as a symbol of our commitment to working in harmony with nature to create fresh, vibrant wines from healthy vines.
Critical to this biodiversity has been the rejuvenation of the creekline that runs through the farm. We have removed invasive non-native plants and then undertaken a native planting program. This has provided a more suitable habitat for all manner of native insects, birds and bees. By removing synthetic chemical inputs from our farming we have let nature take its course, developing complex intersecting ecosystems and building stability and resilience into the natural habitat.
